*Interviews for the post of Relationship Executives in J and K bank*

In interview panel, questions can be asked from any field, so, to start with the candidate should have a 360 degree knowledge of all the things.
Now, if iI have to choose few particular sectors to focus on, that will surely be economy, finance, Banking and Current affairs.
Any candidate can get good marks in interview just by planning, introspection and formulating strategy.

Whenever any one asks me what to prepare and how to prepare I just tell that candidate to think from the perspective of the interviewer and then everything will be very easy.

As a banker, we expect a newly recruited officer to be adaptable, patient, polite and situational. Focus is given on soft skills. So, the candidate should speak and portray himself in the interview as if he has all these above mentioned qualities.

The candidate should start the preparation by introspecting himself and asking himself that why he wants to pursue banking as an career option because this is a kind of question that will be surely asked in the interview.
The best answer to this question can be like; Banking is one of the most growing sectors in our country and among those industries which are very much immune from the political interferences. The Banking job is a respectable profession and salary is also very good etc etc.

The next question that can be asked in the interview is why do you want to join j and k bank and the answer to this question can be like j and k is the only organisation of our State which is listed in stock exchange. Moreover, it gives pride to work for j and k bank. The bank is doing so much for the state as a part of corporate social responsibility. It is among the few profitable entities in our state.

Each individual of our state is directly or indirectly associated with j and k bank, be it Electricity bills, amarnath yatra forms, forms of distance education, scooty finance Scheme for girls, Apple finance or anything we are inseparable from j and k bank.
Do visit the website of J & K bank and scan it thoroughly.

One of my suggestion to the aspirant is that, while in interview you can tell the interviewers that there are 70% of customers in J & K who are below the age of 30 years, so there is a need to capture this huge base of customers and as a tech savy person, you can add the value to J & K Bank by targeting this segment.
There is a need of digitising the bank and as a result of it, J & K bank has come up with the concept of promoting e-channel coz 70% of the workforce in the bank is doing cash receipt, cash payment and money transfer which leads to huge operational cost to the bank. So, there is a need of promoting the e-ways of doing this things.
Nowadays, banks want the customers to use more of ebanking, mobile banking, ATMs, credit cards, POS machines etc.
As a new young officer, you will be the one who will act as an CHANGE agent. you are the one who will cross sell other banking products, you will understand the customer behaviour, customer education etc.

Questions can be asked from latest banking scenarios, new changes in banking sectors,RBI circulars, monetary and fiscal policies etc.
Inflation and how it can be checked.
For interview of bank officer, a candidate should read and learn all the Banking terms. The questions can be like :
  • What is a bank?
  • What are the various types of accounts in bank?
  • Different variants of Saving accounts/ current accounts etc.
  • What is the Electronic fund transfer?
